Introduction to school worship
At St Margaret’s CE Primary School, Collective Worship is a highly valued part of the school day as it is a time for us to gather together to affirm what is important to us, our school and our world. Collective Worship at St Margaret’s is rooted in Christianity, offering an opportunity for pupils to worship God whilst seeking to be relevant and inclusive to all.
In acts of Collective Worship, it is recognised that some members will come from families with commitment to the Christian faith, others from families with a commitment to another faith and others will have no commitment to any tradition. Therefore, all acts of Collective Worship are invitational.
An act of Collective Worship takes place daily:
· Monday – whole school worship
· Tuesday – Class Worship
· Wednesday – Worship through song
· Thursday – Whole School Worship
· Friday – Celebration Worship
