Interfaith
At St Margaret’s CE Primary School, we pride ourselves on being an incredibly inclusive and respectful community. We provide a safe and welcoming space where staff and pupils of all religions, cultures, and no faith backgrounds can aspire, nurture, enjoy, and flourish. Our school is a place where diversity is celebrated, and every individual is encouraged to learn from and with one another.
Rooted in our Christian ethos and guided by our values of faith, hope, and love, we believe that understanding and appreciating different beliefs and worldviews is essential to building a compassionate and united world. Interfaith learning is woven into our curriculum and school life, helping children grow in empathy, respect, and global awareness.
Every other year, we host our vibrant Interfaith Week, a highlight in our school calendar. During this special week, each year group explores a range of religions, cultures, and worldviews through engaging activities and meaningful experiences. From Bhangra dancing and storytelling to visits from members of our local community, pupils are immersed in opportunities that promote dialogue, understanding, and celebration of difference.
Interfaith Week is more than an event—it’s a reflection of who we are. It empowers our children to become respectful citizens, courageous advocates, and thoughtful contributors to a diverse society.
